Family today is our first week to weigh in to see our progress. Same time each week would be idea and before all the Superbowl treats would be even more ideal :)
I did some great stuff this week, some not so great embarrassing stuff and learned cool stuff!
First great stuff was I ate plain yogurt and granola for breakfast. At fresh and easy there are yummy granola with berries or other fruit you can buy and add to your yogurt. I also love putting in fresh or frozen fruit when I have it. Just look out to see if your frozen or prepared fruit is sitting in high fructose syrup.
Not so great embarrassing stuff-I have to admit I found myself eating to make myself feel better this week. It was stressful at work so I have fried dessert. You know what I'm talking about :) I had a rough time with a whole lot of kids at my house so I bought and consumed a half container of chocolate covered gummy bears. I looked at the nutritional facts the next day and I should have eaten about 4...instead of 24. Oh well. Looking back I can see how something that made me happy for the short term did not make me happy in the long term.
Jeremy and I are way interested in herbs and how they are Heavenly Father's way of natural healing our bodies. Now there are some things out there that aren't going to help you and may give you psychedelic effects. Please don't go around eating everything that grows in the ground hoping to cure cancer or acne, but if you study which plants can help I believe we'd all be in better shape then taking pharmaceuticals all the time. We went to class at Herbally Grounded called "There's an herb for that". The founder of the store was diagnosed with lupis and given 1 year to live if she did Chemo. She studied and prayed and found herbs that build your immune system and beat it and had no further symptoms of the disease. Amazing! There is also a weight loss class on the 18th that teaches you about detoxifying your body so your body is ready to lose that fat!
For all you looking to beef up your bodies as well as lose weight you might want to check out these herbs that have all the amino acids to make protein in your body. Foods that we eat only have some of them have to be combined with other foods to make up all the amino acids. Hence the peanut butter and whole grains combo.
So call, text, email or any other form of communication to let us know your weight loss this week!
If you see Jeremy make sure to let him know if he has any grass in his teeth from all the green herbs he has been drinking
