Design For Shabby Apple

A little contest make big dreams come true

As a little girl I spent allot of time drawing dresses and clothes on super model type girls. My mom sewed allot and taught me a little. It was my dream to create and design clothes. That's why I was so excited to hear about Shabby Apple's Design challenge! They have awesome Shabby Apple Dresses! I would have a hard time picking my favorite out of any of their collections. They have something for every occasion and I love love love their style and sophistication.

So hear is my design for Shabby Apple. If chosen as one of the top 15 you must go vote for mine at www.shabbyapple.com Winner will have their dress made and sold at Shabby Apple. AWESOME!
This dress is flowy in all the right places and is fitted to give that womanly sihlouette. The bodice has allot of detailing on the front bib with pleating and ruffles. The waist band is roushed to give an extra curve. Girls my size so desperately need help adding the curves. But if you've already got 'em this dress shows em off! At the bottom there is a peekaboo of a ruffle created by an added layer. Don't know about you but I would love to wear this dress next spring!

My inspiration is the always beautiful and elegant Audrey Hepburn. I love her as seen here in My Fair Lady. She is the epitome of style and grace. This movie pictures some really great big "church lady" hats. When I think of spring I imagine all the ladies dressing in beautiful flowy dresses with big hats and gloves. This dress would be perfect for an Easter Sunday with such accessories!

I can see this dress in a peachy pink, medium purple, or even mustardy yellow. A polyester cotton blend would be great to keep it flowy but also show off the detailing.

What a fun contest to help little girl's dreams come true! Thanks Shabby Apple!
